Botox

Botox injections are being used more frequently in dental offices for lessening the tell-tale signs of aging (annoying wrinkles, frown lines) and also for TMJ or jaw problems. Xeomin

Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA), is approved by Health Canada and the US FDA for the treatment of adults with wrinkles of the face. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity.

Xeomin has now been approved for some cosmetic indications – Moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. This is similiar to other drugs in this category, including Botox and Dysport, for the treatment of facial wrinkles. Worldwide, more than 84,000 people have been treated with Xeomin injections.
